where can I bid for/buy abandoned luggage from airports?
I read somewhere theres a specific auction every month or something but I've totally forgotten where. Anyone know please?

Not sure about an auction, but there is a company in Scottsboro Alabama called Unclaimed Baggage Center that sells the contents of unclaimed baggage.
There are auctions for the things confiscated at the security turnstiles (knives, scissors etc.) from various airports. (Google it)
