Are pop up windows acceptable?
I created a web site that shows products from other merchant websites i.e.the site would show a Kenneth Cole Briefcase from
Luggage online.com, I wanted to show my customer's information from my page.I want my page to look similar to this:
http://www.bzzagent.com/frog/FrogWebsite.do?frogIdent=3876589422
where the top is frogpond and the bottom is Walgreens the merchant.
The example uses iframes. The problem is the the merchants do not allow iframes. I was thinking about doing a pop up window with the customer's information. But is this acceptable? I'm trying to find an alternative but pop ups are the only solution. Is this true?
Asking your question twice isn't going to make your idea good and isn't going to change the overwhelming public opinion against popups. That's why all modern browsers include an option to block them by default.
