Can i claim compensation for lost luggage from easyjet?
I flew from belfast int airport to edinburgh airport over the halloween hoidays myself & my 7 year old son. My son is an asthmatic & all his medcation was in the suitcase, when we arrived at edinburgh our suitcase was missing. Apparently the label came off & the case was still in belfast, this was a nightmare for me as im am deaf & no one knew how to sign. My neice arrived & they explained all this to her & we were told to hang around edinburgh until 5.00 oclock to see if it arrived on the next flight, it didnt & my neice was told to ring the airport the next morning. When she did they said the case had arrived but they didnt no when they could transport it to dundee, my neice explained about the medication & someone told her it was'nt important enough to have it sent to dundee. We finally got the suitcase at 9.00 the next night which was a full 36 hours later, so could anyone please advivse me on what to do if there is anything i can do... Many Thanks Darcy
Most likely there isn't anything you can do. In the fine print airlines advise passengers to carry with them in their carryon any medications they will need for a few days in case of lost luggage.
