I need some help with this situation. I want to take my PC with me on a flight but...?

I would like to keep it with me as hand luggage (to minimize the chances of theft). It's an average sized PC tower, nothing else. I was wondering if it would be possible to take something like that on an international flight as hand luggage.

I'm doubting it would be allowed because of the possibilities of a bomb being hidden in it.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
I'm actually leaving the country where I live so I need to take my whole computer tower with, not just the data on it.

Your PC tower should be fine. When you go through security, your PC will be screened just as all other luggage is, and computers are not on the prohibited items list that are listed on TSA's website. But I am assuming that you are leaving from the United States. Different nations have varying rules and it would be a good idea to ask security and/or the airline before going to the airport.
