Weighing carry on luggage?

I noticed when I flown to KLIA and back they didn't check the weight of my carry on luggage...do they still check it?

I'm just wondering because my friends have noticed it also...

I was taking Cathay Pacific and American Eagle operated by American Airlines
really?...well I remember when I was younger like 4 years ago or so I was with Delta and Malaysia Airlines I remember that they weighed all our luggage including carry ons.
Dont worry guys I alreayd took my trip..2 months ago..I'm just wondering based on my oberservations.

Airlines usually don't weigh carry-on luggage.

It would take them too much time to do so. And most check-ins are already pretty rushed as is.

I have yet to hear about an O/H compartment that collaspsed because of the weight. I'm sure it has happened- but they engineer those things pretty darn well!
