Experience with "Disney's Magical Express" service at Disney World?

Wondering about the experiences people have had with this service - good, bad or otherwise. Should we be worried about Disney losing our luggage? Our flight doesn't arrive until 11:30 at night... will Disney still pick us up? It's during the off season (October) will that make a difference? Thanks for any help or advice you can provide.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that Disney had some new announcements today. They have decided to extend Magical Express thru 2011, they are going to be changing locations in the airport. There is a possibility that they are going to charge for the service next year, but I don't know yet.

Magical Express!!! That's a very good question. Some people have had really good experiences, others have had really bad experiences. Disney has decided not to continue on with the service after this year because of all the complaints and problems.

I've only used Magical Express once and didn't use it there after. You have to stop at several resorts before getting to yours, so it can take several hours to get there. So you lose quite a bit of time in the beginning and end of your trip. While it sounds great that they take your luggage and you don't have to worry about it, it can also be a very bad thing. Disney can lose a lot of the luggage and/or it can take several hours and in some cases a couple of days to actually get your luggage. (If you've ever been on a Disney cruise, you will kind of have an idea of what can happen. For example, on my last cruise with Disney, four different suitcases came to my room on top of my own) When I went it took 2:30 hours to get to my resort and then I didn't get my luggage until the next morning, I got in at 10 the previous morning.

Now, other people have had good experiences with it. It's nice because you don't have to worry about your luggage, it's free and they play movies on the way. But it can also be bad. I just use a private transfer now. I can get from the airport and to my resort in about a half hour or less.
