Can you take pens and pencils in your hand luggage when flying with easy jet?
Considering the strict safety regulations, i'm not sure wether pens and pencils count as "sharp objects". I couldn't find this information anywhere and thought it would be best to ask people that might know rather than assume it would be ok. Thanks.

We always have a couple of ball point pens with us when flying with Easyjet, or any other airline, to do crosswords, suduko etc. Quite often if flying with Thomson airways a questionaire is handed out for completion too, so a pen/pencil is needed. It is also not uncommon to see children colouring with pencils. So there should be no objection and they don't appear on the list of non-permitted items. I take your point (excuse the pun) about sharp items but pens/pencils don't compare with scissors, knives or even nail files, although I do accept they could cause damage.
