FLYING FOR MY FIRST TIME... NEED HELP!!?
hi, i will be flying for my first next week and i have no idea what to do. i was wondering if i have to pay for my checked bags, if yes where and how do i pay for them, can i pay with cash? also how do i tag my bags with those little tags that i wrap around the handles? does the airport give it to me or do i have to bring my own. also am i allowed to bring rubbing alcohol in my checked luggage and am i allowed to bring my medication?
If there is a charge for your checked bags, the ticket agent who checks your bags at the airport will collect the money. You may pay in cash.
The little ID tags that are available have a loop handle. Just put the string around your bag's handle, and stick the tag through the loop. If you can't figure it out, the agent will help you or show you how.
You can have rubbing alcohol in your checked bag, but tighten the screw cap, and then tape it closed so that it will not open. If I were doing this, I would buy a new bottle to take, and not open it until I got where I was going, as it will have a seal to keep it from opening. Throw it away for your return trip. It only costs about a dollar, and will make a real mess if it opens.
You are allowed to take your medication in your carry-on, so take it there.
