Luggage insurance for overseas flight?
How can I get luggage insurance for my checked bags for an overseas flight (US to Italy flying on US airways). What is the cost of it, and if they lose the bags when do I get the money (early enough to buy replacements in Italy).
Travel insurance, that covers luggage, cancellations, medical, etc.. would not pay out until you returned home, unless in the case of medical expenses, where you needed expensive treatment.
