Why don't they check luggage before you get on a train?
Last time I went on a train, in 2004, from Carlsbad to Santa Barbara, my sister and I had our baggage which was not screened for weapons, why don't they do that on a train? Thats a little unnerving.
In addition to four manned check-in counters, the "Wien-Mitte" railway station also has four self-check-in machines for travel baggage and hand luggage.
