Flight Delay Problem?

I will be traveling from SFO to Kolkata this weekend. My Flight Schedule is:-

SFO-FRA LH 9053 Arrive : FRA -9:45 am
FRA-Chennai LH 758 Departure Time : FRA - 11:00 am - Arrive Chennai 11:45 pm (Did not tickets for Kolkata flight)
Chennai-Kolkata KingFisher Airlines Departure Time Chennai : 5:25 am (next day )

My question is :
1. If my flight from SFO-FRA gets delayed I will miss both the flights. Do Lufthansa provide alternative flight.
2. What will happen to my check-in luggage in case my flight gets changed.

You need to contact the travel agency or the airline that owns your ticket. Each airline has an identifying code and that is the first 3 digits of your ticket number. The originatng carrier will usually protect you on other flights. You can ask the originating carrier to transfer your bags to the new flight. Otherwise the originating airline will put you on their first flight the following day and you can ask for hotel and food compensation from the airline/this is a normal procedure. If the your first flight is delayed and messes up your whole schedule, you cancel the your trip and get a full refund or you can rebook your flights w/o penalties. Hope you make it to your flights w/o delays.
