I have hired one of these cars for a holiday in 2 weeks time and don't know if the luggage I am taking with me will fit in the trunk. Can anyone help?

I live in the east coast and I will probably be moving to the midwest. My four cockatiels are normally caged separately. I let them out together to spread their wings, but they sometimes fight.

My vet recommended putting them in a cat carrier under my seat, but I can just imagine them screeching for 5 hours and fighting with each other...I am concerned that they may not be comfortable or taken care of in a cargo area, as well as how they will be effected by cabin pressure on a plane ride that will be at least 5 hours. I don't want them to be too traumatized. Also, my things will be moved via moving van, so I need to take at least two cages on the plane with me (going alone). I'm wondering how I can manage my luggage, the bird carrier(s), and the cages. Has anyone done this before, or do you have good advice? I really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.
