Yes your luggage should be fine My daughter took a bag of slightly larger size along with her backpack and laptop as carry on and she wasn't given any problems.

ok, so i am going to china in like 2 weeks or so .
i have a lot of electronics im probably not gonna put them in the luggage bag but carry it on.
what im gonna have in my bag:

Some airlines have restrictions about the size and weight of carry on items - as long as you are within your airline's limits, you should be fine.

Although... I simply can't understand why you would need to bring so many electronics. (unless, of course, you are moving to China or something) If you are just taking a trip, I would recommend taking only the devices you will absolutely need, perhaps the notebook, camera, and one entertainment device for the flight.

Definitely go with a backpack. From experience, I used a messenger back for two semester and it was too troublesome. I wouldn't go with a leather bag but that is just because of the weather where I am...I think a Northface backpack would be more stylish.

maximum carrying weight on your average mountain bicycle?

i am using an aluminium framed bike for shopping trips with panniers and luggage rack at the rear, the other day i rode to the loca market and loaded with 10lbs of spuds and another 15 lbs of various veg and fruit . I then stopped at the supermarket and loaded yet more shopping on by tying bags to the luggage rack , i then stopped at the offi and loaded on a large bottle of cider and four cans of beer. I would estimate the total load at around the 90 lbs mark plus myself weighing 19stone , the bike rode fine and i made it home in one piece . I was wondering however wether this damages the bike or wether there is a maximum formula the average ally frame will take ?
