Florida Vacation. What to pack?

My boyfriend and I are going to Disney in September. I know I am planning early but I am kind of narotic like that and I have to have everything orgaized. We are going for 6 nights/7days. Coming in on Sept 22 and leaving Sept 28. our first day we will be at a water park. We plan to go to Epcot 1x, MGM 1x, Animal Kingdom 1x, Magic Kingdom 3x, Universal 1x. We are having 2 nice dinners. One at Cinderella's Casle and one at the Coral Reef Resturant. We are also going to Planet Hollywood one night and Mini Golf another night.

What type of clothes should we pack in our suitcase?

When get there on the 22nd we are going straight to the water park and then to Magic Kingdom (we might stop off at the hotel to change but we are not sure if our luggage will be in our room yet)

What shudl we pack in our carry-on for the plane? (remember only small liquids)

I live in Tampa and I go to Disney quite often. In September, Florida is HOT HOT HOT!!! Temperatures are in the 80s and 90s. Remember to bring a jacket for cool nights and dress nicely for the dinners. Most people go casual but if you feel out of place, just wear a nice pair of pants. I usually go in jeans or shorts but some people insist on wearing nice clothes. Tank tops, shorts, maybe a pair of capris, sneakers, sandals, a bathing suit, warm pajamas for nights (it gets hot during the day but cool at night), socks and undies, a convinient but well-hidden place to put money and tickets like an inside/hidden pocket of a shirt/shorts or a small backpack/fanny pack (you wouldn't believe how many times I've seen people try to steal at Disney), toiletries, and that's about all I can think of. Good luck with packing!

Can anyone tell me if Southwest is a good airline to fly?

I live in Philly so USAirways is destined to loose our luggage. I want to use Southwest but I'm hesitant because of their open seat policy. There are 3 of us flying and we want to sit together.

It is a good economy airline. The open seating is a mess. But you really need to check-in online to get in Group A. As long as you are in Group A you will have your pick of seats. There are really no great frills, so don't expect big meals or service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, they are very flexible with refunds, travel changes and missed flights.

How often do airlines lose luggage?

The reason I ask is because im going to mexico for a week. Im going to a beach resort and I do have a lot of things to bring. I need obvious things like swimsuits, sandals, sneakers, straightner, cloths, toiltries, and then some semi-formal cloths for the restraunts there that require that dress code. Along with other miscallanous things I have a bag fully packed. I don't consider myself to be an over packer but with all the activities and different outfit requirements I can't see leaving anything behind. Yet everyone I talk to tells me that since I'm stopping so many times on my way there(hartford to charolette, to mexico city, to cancun) that they will most defentially lose my luggage. I have never flown before so I dont want to get to my destination and not have my luggage. They also say to pack it all on carryon luggage but I can't do that either(I have several items that cannot be carried on) So in reality what are the chances of my luggage being lost do you think?

I fly a lot, and my bags have never been lost. I typically have connections between 1-1.5 hours, and my luggage has always been switched to the correct plane. I've had connections of less than an hour at huge airports, and my bags were not lost.

You are certainly not guaranteed to lose your bags. With every connection you have, your odds certainly increase a bit because that's one more opportunity for something to be misplaced. But the odds still are in your favor.

Also, if your bags are lost, they are usually quickly found and will be sent to you at your destination. My mother-in-law lost her bag on a flight a few years ago and they drove it out to her house the next day.

Bring what you can in your carry-on - a few small toiletries, maybe a change of clothes and a swimsuit, so that you can make do if your bags are lost for a day or so. But I don't think that will happen.

Cost of taxi from Miami International to Cruise ship dock?

Will be flying in to Miami mid week (in December) at about 10AM. How much should taxi fare for wife and I , with luggage, run to get to cruise ship dock and about how long should it take? Thanks.

Taxicabs from MIA to Port of Miami is $24.00 flat rate plus tip per cab. Shuttle is 14.00 per person (+ a temporary $1.00 per person fuel surcharge which may or may not continue until you arrive) . So for two or more traveling together the cab is a better deal.

Luggage brought on airplanes?

I know the airlines allow you to bring a purse and a luggage.
But i was wondering, what is the size requirement for the luggage?
Am i aloud to bring a average sized duffel bag or is it too big?
Im riding united airlines, and alaska airlines to return home. and thanks for the responses so far

22 x 14 x 9 inches is the typical carry-on maximum size.

How can I get eatable shipped from India to Ottawa?

I want my parents to send me some edible items like spices & other preservable eatables in air tight packings etc. as per rules. But do not know which agency in India or Air Couriers deal in this work, as it is said that US/Canada rules do not permit shipping of eatable to those countries. Is it true, if not, how can I get them through post/air mail etc.Kindly give details. Can I bring any eatables etc. with me in luggage while coming back from India & what are the restrictions placed, if any.

I think you can bring most kinds of achar with you (just pack them very carefully!). You can probably bring spices too but honestly you can get any spices you need here. The only thing that's hard to find here is amla juice, if you like it. But you can get all your spices/daal/masalas/etc over here!

You probably can't bring fresh fruit/veggies, and certainly not rice...

im traveling to denver soon and i need help!!?

a friend asked me to bring back some fat tire beer. i know you cant have liquids or gels bigger than 3 oz as part of your carry-on. however, there dont seem to be that many regulations in terms of checked-in luggage.

how risky is it to bring beer in a suitcase? is it allowed and what are the chances that it will break considering the contents are under pressure???

I would put it in double ziplock bags, in between clothes so it doesn't get smashed - make sure you don't have anything like pictures near it so in case it does burst.
Also, if you are going to another country you have to claim it in customs. Otherwise, I see no problem.
