What items are prohibited in handluggages when traveling?

Im live in la and I'm traveling 2 dallas and I just want to know what items that are not allowed in hand luggage

This gets asked every day, usually more than once a day. Some of the answers you're getting here are nonsense, some are right to a point and then misfire, and some are pretty good.

I got my Laptop and Mobile phone stolen at airport....Should I claim contents insurance?

I went to see off 1 of my cousin straight from my work. I have no idea how sombody has stolen my laptop bag which had my phone aswell. I have the receipt for the laptop but I have nothing for my phone since I bought it off some1.... Should I claim my contents insurance?? As i have no idea how it got stolen so what should I tell them?? tomorrow I am going to police station to report.

My real concern is that I have no idea about how it got stolen all i remember is I was helping my friend put her luggage on trolley and next min my laptop bag was gone.... r they gona make trouble in processing the claim?

Luggage brought on airplanes?

I know the airlines allow you to bring a purse and a luggage.
But i was wondering, what is the size requirement for the luggage?
Am i aloud to bring a average sized duffel bag or is it too big?
Im riding united airlines, and alaska airlines to return home. and thanks for the responses so far

22 x 14 x 9 inches is the typical carry-on maximum size.

I have read the TSA guidelines on what you can " carry on " in your pocketbook, but I still have a question?

They say to keep your pills in the prescription bottles and place them in a plastic bag. Well to save room, I would like to keep my week supply in one of those daily reminder plastic see-through cases that have the days of the week on the lid. Will that be OK? I would keep the rest of the pills in their bottles and put them in my checked luggage. Has anyone flown lately and used one of those daily remindere things?
