Are used hookahs allowed on checked luggage for an international flight?

I'm currently in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia right now. I will be returning to the U.S. very soon and would like to know a couple things before i proceed any further. I have 3 hookahs that I would like to bring back with me instead of sending home. Only one of them have ever been used. Am I allowed to bring all 3 with me on my checked luggage? Or will customs confiscate them all?
Should I send the used items home and take the rest with me?

it is perfectly fine, my friends and I have brought some over from india and dubai and they pass through easily because they are perfectly legal. The only issue is tobacco and other controlled items.

How can I get discount tickets to Europe by carrying other people's stuff?

I saw Eurotrip and they somehow got tickets to Europe cheaply by carrying other people's stuff. These people were I guess moving and needed someone to carry their stuff from their current house to their future house. Supposedly it may be cheaper to pay someone to carry their stuff in their luggage than pay for shipping. Is this possible and if so how could I get cheap tickets this way? Also are their any other ways to get discount tickets to europe in the summer and when would be the best time to buy?

I'll pay for you to fly to Amsterdamn and back if you carry a package back no questions asked.

I just went on the FedEx site to check international freight rates for car and lge luggage shipment?

The results yielded over 10K. Does that seem right? Has anyone ever had to shipped a very large item like a car from overseas?

Trust me... if you're shipping a car overseas, you do not want to use a courier company. Your best bet is to contact an international household moving company, or an auto transporter. They are better equipped to handle such freight. It will still be expensive, but not $10K.

i don't understand about checking luggage system ? please help?

i am flying to the states next week but i still don't understand checking luggage system.
well i am fly with All Nippon (international flight) i'll arrived at O'Hare airport.
and after that i need to change to domestic flight which i fly with United Airlines.
so i am not sure if i need to get my luggage and check in again? or they will send my luggage to my destination?

When you land in Chicago you will need to collect your luggage and pass through customs/security with it and then it will go back with other luggage for connecting flights. On your return flight you won't need to collect it when you connect between you internal flight and your international one, it will go all the way through to your final destination.
